Brabus presented their take on the Rolls-Royce Ghost, joining the elite of tuners who get their hands on luxurious models bearing the Spirit of Ecstasy. The Brabus 700 is based on the extended wheelbase variant of the Ghost, bringing a series of visual and mechanical modifications for those who want to stand out from the crowd in a more emphatic manner.

Starting with the exterior, Rolls-Royce buyers are usually fond of classy and understated looks so Brabus didn’t go as far with the bodykit as other tuners like Mansory.

The front splitter, intake trim, grille frame, lip spoiler and rear diffuser are made of carbon fiber, while the Rolls-Royce badges have been replaced by Brabus emblems. At the back we also find the carbon quad tailpipes of the stainless steel exhaust system with active valves Finally, all the shiny bits got a Shadow Chrome finish for a distinctive look, while a set of discreet LED DRLs have been added on the front bumper.

The most striking visual update is the 22-inch Brabus Monoblock M “Platinum Edition” forged wheels – again finished in Shadow Chrome – with a design that somehow resembles the disc wheels of the facelifted Phantom although it’s definitely sportier. Brabus didn’t mess up with the sophisticated Planar Suspension System of the Ghost, so the Magic Carpet Ride is retained.

More importantly, the twin-turbo V12 engine has received a power bump and is now producing hp 690 hp (514 kW / 700 PS) and 950 Nm (lb-ft) of torque making it more powerful than the Black Badge. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through the eight-speed automatic transmission allowing a 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 4.6 seconds.

While the Ghost already has an ultra-luxurious hand-crafted interior, Brabus is offering extra bits of bling to make it stand out more. The Brabus Masterpiece interior includes a bespoke porcelain-colored leather upholstery with square pattern quilting and contrasting black piping. Finally, there is plenty of carbon fiber trim on the dashboard, center console, illuminated door sills and rear armrest.

Brabus didn’t reveal pricing for their tuning package but we guess that Ghost owners will be able to afford it. The question is would you be willing to add aftermarket options on a brand-new Rolls-Royce?
