YouTube channel itsjusta6 provides an inside look into adding a pricey upgrade to a McLaren 600 LT and loves how easy the car is to work on.
YouTube channel itsjusta6 has completed the most expensive car modification to date on the channel. The car receiving the upgrade is a McLaren 600LT. The addition of a carbon fiber hood is pricey but blends in seamlessly with the original exterior appearance of the car. The upgrade gets put to the test later in the video when the McLaren goes to the crowded track with many other high performance cars.
The carbon fiber hood comes from 1016 Industries which showcases many of their modifications on social media including Instagram. The package that arrives from the company is large and requires freight delivery. This is essentially $10,000 in a box. Once unloaded from the truck, the new hood comes into the garage and the process to swap out the new hood with the OEM one begins. In the video, the process to remove the old hood and swap out the new one is surprisingly straightforward. This is something that is surprising to many as a vehicle from a brand like McLaren can be intimidating to work on yourself.

With the old hood gone and the new carbon fiber one all set up and in place, the new one blends in surprisingly well with the stock appearance of the car and the dark paint color. In the garage particularly, the difference between the dark paint on the exterior and the carbon fiber hood is nearly impossible to distinguish without a closer glance. With everything installed and ready to car, the 600LT is ready for the track which is where they plan to take it after dropping off a Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 for some maintenance.
Out on the track for the first time, the McLaren performs impeccably on what proves to be a busy track day with many other high performance cars there. While on the track in the McLaren, they comment on the performance of the car. The YouTube video offers several camera views both inside and outside of the car from several angles. It is a detailed look at the car and its performance capabilities as it speeds along the curves of the track.

Later, with the GT350 all set to go following some maintenance, the video reviews the recent modifications that the GT350 has undergone. A look underneath the car proves that the car is in good shape and ready for some high performance driving. They look forward to seeing how the Ford GT350 will handle with everything complete and drive the car home from the garage at the end of the video.
